TBR Pile: Don’t Sleep, There Are Snakes

I was poking around in a used book store last week and came across this:

TBR pile: Don't Sleep, There Are Snakes. Life and Language in the Amazonian Jungle. By Daniel L. Everett.

This looked like something I’d like to read eventually, so I took the photo to remind me to add it to my To Be Read (TBR) pile. That pile–part virtual and metaphorical, part very physical and real–is already several hundred books long. I know I’llĀ  never get through them all, but that’s okay. In fact, it’s somewhat beside the point. Part of the point is knowing the books are out there so I can return to them when the timing is right.

Anyway, I love used book stores because they always have fascinating stuff like this. That is to say, they have great things if you can find them.

TBR pile: Don't Sleep, There Are Snakes. Life and Language in the Amazonian Jungle. By Daniel L. Everett. Book is misshelved in Medieval & Renaissance.

I’m guessing someone else thought it looked interesting, too, and tucked it away for their next visit. Have you ever done anything like that? Where’s the sneakiest place you ever secreted a book away to, and could youfind it when you went back?
